Virtual Reality Business Development Manager

Corvallis, Oregon

We seek a Business Development Manager to help us maintain our leadership position and capitalize on VR’s explosive growth in a number of ways:

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and nurture relationships with partners.
  • Read and forecast market trends.
  • Identify sales opportunities
  • Manage, with help from the marketing department:
    • exhibition selection and live show management
    • messaging through relevant media outlets
    • press exposure
    • establish a voice and tone which resonates with our prospective customers
  • Advise worldwide sales and distribution team on geographical, product and market vertical opportunities within VR.
  • Be the inspirational company voice as well as technical expert at events.
  • Innovate: advise on hardware and software product development ideas for our existing markets, and help us to innovate with new products.
  • Travel to exhibitions, conferences, customers and partners to maintain the position as the best VR Market tracking expert on earth.

Required

  • Deep technical understanding of the VR pipelines that provide the most breathtaking human experience, from content creation, tracking performance, rendering performance and HMD integration and optimization.
  • Domain expertise from a technical degree and recent experience in the VR market.
  • Outstanding relationship skills.
  • Great presentation skills.
  • Successful track record in a Technical Business Development role with the metrics to prove it.
  • Existing industry contacts.
  • Strong spoken and written English.
  • Ability to travel worldwide – estimated at up to 40%.

Many of the positions at OptiTrack require the physical ability to work on a ladder to be able to test and optimize tracking systems, this position is included.


Customer Support Engineer - Movement Sciences

Eastern US

OptiTrack, the world’s leader in precision motion capture and tracking systems seeks an exceptional Customer Support Engineer to help our customers in movement sciences, virtual reality, drones and robotics, and character animation.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical customer care, installation, training and application advice via phone, online forums, email, and on-site at our customer’s labs and studios.
  • Front line incident management, investigation, solution and follow through with an emphasis on speed, quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Assistance with pre-sales testing and demonstrations.
  • In-house testing for suitability and system optimization for new applications.
  • Create long lasting relationships with our valued customers by providing timely, on-target and helpful solutions to our customer’s application questions.
  • Up to 35% domestic and international travel.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • BS in a technical discipline (e.g. ME, CS, Biomechanics, other Engineering) – or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience with motion capture or 3D tracking hardware and software.
  • Strong team player - possessing the willingness to seek feedback, adopt OptiTrack practices, and continuously learn, evolve and improve.
  • Great technical acumen, proficiency with Windows based applications, networking.
  • The ability to work safely on ladders, scissors lifts and other access equipment for installation of cameras and cabling.
  • For remote positions, a quiet and professional workplace available in your home during normal working hours.
